Chronic Christmas Contest #1: Books and Books
I’ve loved Advent calendar since I was a
little girl. Opening a small gift every day for the month of December is such a
wonderful way to build anticipation while temporarily calming down the excitement so you don’t explode by the time Christmas arrives. It’s one of the reasons
I wrote Chronic Christmas: Surviving the Holidays with a Chronic Illness as Advent
calendar, sharing a daily tip for how you can make the holidays manageable and
how those who love you can lend a helping hand.
So when I started thinking about ways to help you enjoy the holidays without overdoing it, an
Advent calendar was foremost in my mind. And then, to wildly paraphrase a
certain green gentleman who shows up around this time of year, I got an idea.
An amazing, wonderful idea.
For the next month, I’ll be hosting weekly giveaways
with helpful and cool prizes!
In the tradition of Advent calendars, I’m
not going to tell you what they are. You'll just have to come back to “unwrap”
them.
The prize for the first giveaway is a
signed copy of all of my books!
The winner of today’s giveaway will receive
a paperback copy of Chronic Christmas: Surviving the Holidays with a ChronicIllness and Your Life with Rheumatoid Arthritis: Tools for Managing Treatment,Side Effects and Pain, as well as a Kindle copy of 7 Facets: A Meditation onPain. (You’ll forgive me if that latter is unsigned)
To enter, leave a comment on the blog telling
me how you’re doing today.

@TheSeatedView. #chronicillness #rheum
You can add an extra entry a day by
tweeting that out every day you repeat that tweet. If you’re not on Twitter,
you can share it on Facebook — and make sure to tag my Facebook page. You

put in a hat (or bowl, or box) and the winner randomly selected.
The winner will be announced here on the blog the first
Sunday in Advent, December 3.
Lastly — and this is super important — make
sure you come back to check if you’ve won! I will post the winner here and
share that on my Twitter account
and my Facebook page.
It will be the winner’s responsibility to contact me to claim the prize.
And one more thing… As subscribers
of my newsletter know already, I am running a really special Giving Back
event. If you can’t wait to see if you win the books or want to buy some for
friends, families, doctors (or yourself) do it now! Through December 1, 2017, all
royalties from the sale of any of my books will be donated to the Arthritis National Research Foundation. You can buy my books by clicking on these links:

God speed. You are a wonderful generous lady xx
Blessings for the Holiday Season, I'm struggling with some headaches, one that lasted 14 hours and i couldnt move my neck hardly at all, I have a rheumy appointment december 7th so... we will talk about it...
I am grateful for my shower each morning, the warm water is my lifesaver to starting my day, the first thought upon waking is a ongoing dialog of positivity that I can do this.. because as we warriors know.. the first movemnet of the day reminds us that it will be with us all day in some form or another.
each week it seems to move around and find another spot to torment.. but I warrior on because this disease will never define me

Today is better than yesterday. My joints aren't on fire! One thing I really hate about RA and chronic illness is that you never know how you're going to feel from one day to the next - and sometimes from one minute to the next!

Today the weather is going to be going from one extreme to another. Which means achy joints and who knows what else! Life goes on....
