Contrasts

The first time I saw a honey locust, I was gobsmacked by its elegant beauty. The leaves made of light and air, glowing against the starkness of the contortionist branches. It makes me think of enchanted sprites, treed by day, dancing in the moonlight when the world's asleep.

Isn't it pretty! I have a false acacia tree in my garden that my kids gave me for mothers day a few years ago. It has very similar leaves but also has beautiful pink racimes ( I think that is how you spell it!) like a laburnum tree. It is just getting big enogh to go and sit under in the summer with my knitting of course!
