I love it when the clouds/fog/mists drift in low and obscure the tops of the fir and pine trees--and even whole mountaintops--near my home in the mountains. Seems like its always around this time of year, too. I had no idea it happened to skyscrapers in big cities, too! And I love that red-turret building. What a contrast to the severe, linear skyscrapers that is. Different eras side-by-side. I'm glad you got out and pushed the envelope for those shots. They're outstanding and thought provoking.
