I have no idea what this flower is, but had to photograph it.I'm not sure if it's slightly blush-inducing or an alien.

I think it's a hibiscus-- if so, it's also edible. :)

it does look sort of like a hibiscus, but I don't think it is. It's much bigger, the leaves are different and the flower has a flashiness that I haven't seen in hibiscus

Hibiscus come in many sizes, from the small-flowered bushes we call 'Rose of Sharon' around here to the big tropical dinner-plate sized blossoms my Grandma grew as an 'indulgence' on the farm. the wiki ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hibiscus ) has quite a variety of photos you can use to compare your flower too, but I really think it is Hibiscus.

It's one of the super big sized hibiscus. My mom has that that grow the size of a dinner plate. They're everywhere in Central Texas. :)

it lets youD3 Gold do appear form of just like a hibiscus, however i don't even think it is. It's much larger, this foliage is different and the blossom features a flashiness that I have
